Babysitters Club

Remember these sweet books?
Pretty sure I am starting my own babysitters club.
I have been babysitting for 2 different families which means I babysat 4 days last week and have been raking in the dough! (ha, right...)
When I want to buy something and Chris gives me that look saying "that's-not-in-our-budget" and asks with what money I am going to buy it, I get to respond "with my babysitting money!" (Then all the 13 year old girls around give me high fives).
Even though babysitting isn't the best paying, it's nice to be busy and have a little extra money.
It has, however, made me decide that we are only having 1 kid. Sorry to all our family who wanted lots of nieces, nephews, cousins and grandkids.
(and that one kid WILL be a girl)

So what, you may ask, do I spend my babysitting money on?
Let me introduce you to the Nike Employee Store in Beaverton (30 mins from us)
It is on the Nike campus where they do research and production and stuff.
Everything in the store is 50% off, or close to it and you must be an employee or family of an employee to get in. Chris participated in a study for Nike about the eye and for doing so he got 2 passes to the employee store. He had to sign us up for a certain day to go which was this last Saturday.
It is a nice big store and we took full advantage of the great deals.
We had the exact mindset that Nike probably wants people to have: buy whatever you might slightly want, because we'll probably never have connections to go back, it's a good deal, and you can always return it.
When we got home we decided to try on some of our new stuff:

Obviously I got a bit more than Chris....

The Nike Employee Store is pretty crazy.
You have to be on the list for the day to get in and you HAVE to have photo I.D.
When you return something, the customer service is outside of the store and you are not allowed to go in or exchange anything. And they don't like you to wear anything from their competitors.
It was exciting, fun and very busy.

On an exciting note, we are getting SO excited to go home for a while!!!
Other than getting married, I don't think I've been more excited for anything in my life.
Probably because it's been 4 months since we've seen family, which is the longest I've ever been away from home. And even though skype and phone conversations are great, they just don't replace face to face convos.
I could go on and on about everything I am so excited to do and everyone that I am so excited to see...but I won't.
We will be there for 1-2 months, however long we feel like really.
And we will be driving home May 15.
Time to start the countdown!

T-rust me Heather, I would have given you the biggest high five in the world (as a former nanny)!!! I thought you guys were gonna have like 8 kids! Maddy needs cousins! Side note: I didn't know you were friends with Kelly Jean. Her older sister, Steph, is like one of my best friends from high school! How cool is that!
