I have nothing new or exciting to blog about.
Here's why:
Chris has 22 credits this semester.
And a ton of labs.
School is his full time job; he is gone from 8 am til 5pm almost every day.
And then he comes home and studies, studies, studies.
He plays inter-mural basketball every Monday and Wednesday night.
He has tests every week.
Tests = lots of studying.
He has proficiencies every week.
Proficiencies = lots of practicing at the lab/clinic.
(Proficiencies test their mad optometry skillz).
He teaches gospel doctrine every other week.
He also likes to work out when he can, 2-3 times a week.
And on top of all this...he has a wife who can be selfish about sharing her husband with school.
Last weekend he was at school for 12 hours on Friday AND 12 hours on Saturday!
He got home around 11 pm both nights.
Luckily I had homework I was supposed to be doing.
(Key word: supposed to)
He is a busy, busy boy!
He never gets enough sleep, he never gets a break and he never fails a test!
He is superman!
Anyway, I'm getting off topic.
Every minute of Chris' day is booked with school stuff so we never get to go out and do anything!
This is by far the worst semester of optometry school.
Rumor has it that it gets a whole lot easier after this...that is until boards.
So lest you think I'm complaining, here are some happy thoughts:
- Spring break is next week!
- My parents will be visiting us for part of spring break! (I get SO excited for visitors!)
- We are more than half way done living in Forest Grove...kind of sad, but mostly happy to get back to family!
- After this semester we will be half way done with optometry school! Woot woot!
- Everything is starting to blossom up here!
- Chris could potentially do all his rotations in Utah! (but he won't. I'm still trying to convince him to). But we will at least be doing 1 or 2 there!
- We have stumped the mold growth this year haha sucker!
- It is starting to warm up!
So despite life being busy, cloudy, rainy, dreary and crazy...
it is still great!
