SAD as in Seasonal Affective Disorder, not sadness.
I've been diagnosed with SAD, by myself.
(I don't need a doctor to tell me what I already know!)
This winter and spring have been rough.
The rain has been relentless, the cloudy skies have been never ending and the sun has been seriously missed.
And I have not been my usual perky self. The sun totally affects my spirits and the lack thereof has made for a less-happy-heather.
I need the sun and I need the warmth.
I am a summer LOVER.
I love everything about it, from the hot sun soaking into your skin (skin that has been lathered with sunscreen, of course) to getting into a hot, hot car.
I would gladly live in Arizona for the rest of my life, if our family was there.
(I am currently trying to talk Chris into doing at least 2 rotations there his 4th year. He claims weather is NOT a good reason to pick a rotation. Whatever!)
I took a screen shot of the weather forecast today and discovered I had done the same last month:
Rain, rain and more rain. If not rain then clouds.
ZERO sun.
Could it get any more depressing?!
These dreary days are killing me off slowly.
This is me trying to be happy!
(I find it quite fitting that the snellen eye chart is just over my shoulder--it represents our lives quite well).
Right now I can't bear the thought of another winter here.
I never thought I would say it.....but I would rather be experiencing Utah's crazy weather right now!!

idk this utah weather can drive a person insane! one day you feel so happy because its spring...the next day you wake up to 4 inches of snow..blah!
I disagree with Chris. Weather is a perfectly rational way to choose a rotation location. Go live there and have fun while you can!!!
I like that last picture of you, its very cute!!
oh and atleast you have family coming to visit in a month...that should be something fun to look forward to!
I must admit I was glad to get back to Utah's crazy weather after our visit with you. Even though it is cold here, at least you get to see the sun quite often (except in Jan and Feb). That rain can really get to you - day after day after day . . .
Heathv, you're so pretty, even when you are "trying" to look happy. haha Don't wish to come here, the weather is horrible. At least in Logan, maybe Slc is a little different.
