Where to begin....
This rotation has been anything but the 3 month vacation I was hoping for.
Let me just complain tell you all about it-
1- Chris is gone from 7:30am to 7:30pm almost everyday. It sucks.
2- We only have one car here, so most days I am stuck at home for those 12 hours. So hard!
3- The apartment we are subleasing looked fine on craigslist but up close and personal it's pretty gross and grimy.
4- Our apartment also happens to have bed bugs. I don't even have words for this.
5- Londyn had a hard time adjusting to life here and didn't feel well the first week or so. She became a fussy baby and stopped sleeping through the night.
6- Our insurance situation is less than ideal for Londyn so we didn't take her to the doctor. She's fine now, but now we are worried about her head. It is majorly lopsided from 2 months of sleeping with her head to the right. I'm 99% sure that she will need a helmet to even it out! So do we take her to a specialist here only to move a month or so into the "treatment"? Or do we wait until she is 5 months and lopsided even more to see a doctor in Utah?
All of this equals one stressed, depressed, frustrated, tired mama.
Add a 3.3 magnitude earthquake in Beverly Hills at 3:30am and I've just about lost it.
Only 10 weeks left....I can do this.
Ok. Here's how I manage-
1- Chris being gone all the time sucks bad and I would not survive without the weekends. The weekends are what save me! They feel like a vacation and we have done a lot of fun things that I will finally blog about. But I am counting down the days until we are done here. During the week I want to move home but on the weekends I want to stay here forever.
2- I will drive Chris to work and pick him up sometimes so that I can have a car to get out of the house and run errands. I am someone that loves to get out of the house for anything so those days are the best.
3- Luckily gross and grimy places can be cleaned so our living situation is a little bit better.
4- Oh bed bugs. Why?! WHY?! My roommate Candice and I had bed bugs at Utah State 4 or 5 years ago. They were awful and we moved out right away. The lady we are subleasing from is out of the country so we're not really sure what to do about them. It's a complicated situation, subleasing and all. We don't even know if it's legal but everybody does it. The biggest concern here is making sure we don't bring the bed bugs back to Utah with us and contaminate my parent's house.
5- Londyn is doing SO much better now. She's back to sleeping through the night (mostly) and is her happy, laid back, chill little self again. Thank GOODNESS.
6- I have no solution for this head situation. Tell me what to do someone please.
So that is what life is like here for us. Not so fun.
However....I absolutely love the area, the weather, the palm trees, the insanely nice houses and cars, and everything to do around here.
Our first weekend here we went to the Griffith Observatory to check out the Hollywood sign.
It was ridiculously hot and crowded and the sign was much smaller and further than we expected.
View of downtown L.A.
See the itty bitty Hollywood sign? Yeah not terribly impressive that far away.
Love this little family of mine.
Stayed tuned for more of our adventures!

Oh my goodness. Not bed bugs again!
Good luck with the head situation. Im not much help on that one. Maybe see how much a consult is or email your pediatrician here for his opinion?
Heather!!! I am so sorry! That does not sound fun! I am glad londyn is feeling better- if it makes you feel any better quinn is still being super whiny! I agree with Justine maybe call your dr in Utah and see what they think? Keep up the posts they are da bomb!
I would probably get her checked out. I know what that's like to move to a new place and not really know what to do with a new baby and a doctor and insurance. I always felt better once I had Jaxon checked out and we would go back and forth between doctors in the states and Canada. If anything getting her checked out will only give you peace of mind:)I hope things get better and like you said only 10 more weeks!!!
