Here's a little update on our lives:
Last year Chris was in class and labs from 8-5 pretty much everyday. The only day he is in class that long this year is Friday! Every day besides that one is a half day, although he will probably be filling that time soon with lots of practicing in the lab.
I am going to school this fall as well. Sorry I have been avoiding answering questions about it-it was a long process and up until recently all I knew was just that I was going to take classes to get my bachelor's.
Now I have more information for you. I am (ironically) taking my classes through Eastern Oregon University.
Why is that ironic?
Because during Jr. High and High School I went there with the basketball team every summer for a week for a basketball camp.
I never would've dreamed I would someday go to school there!
It is 5 hours away from us but they have several majors completely online PLUS no out of state tuition.
I am majoring in physical activity and health with an emphasis in health and wellness.
It should take me just over a year to graduate :)
I haven't actually started yet, they have terms instead of semesters (totally weird) so my classes start September 27.
I am on the waiting list for SLCC dental hygiene-my start date is 2013. No thanks.
Actually they say a lot of people drop off the waiting list so the average wait is only 1 year, which, if that happened for me, would mean I would start next year, Chris' 3rd year.
That wouldn't work but I could defer for a year and start his 4th year, which could work.
However, I don't really think I want to do dental hygiene anymore, for multiple reasons-but we'll see when we get there.
In the meantime I have decided that I really want my bachelor's degree and since I like health and all my dental hygiene prerequisites were health classes this major works out great!
Also this year we received some rotten news about finances so it became imperative that I get a job.
I applied to SO many jobs online with no results, so after a couple of weeks we decided that I just needed to turn in my resume in person.
I found a great job that I really wanted so I got up the nerve and took in my resume.
The next day they called and offered me the job!!
Woohoo!!
We are SO excited and happy about this.
We have been feeling extremely blessed lately and the Lord is taking care of our needs.
I'm working at The Party Pros, it's an event rental place and I will be answering phones, taking orders and helping customers.
Things are going to get really hectic come September 27...I am working full time and taking 15 credits.
Yikes! But it will be so nice to be busy when Chris is!
So goodbye life...see you in December!

Heather, that's great news! I'm so excited for you to get your bachelor's degree and to have a full time job. The time is going to fly by.
Awesome, Heather!! That's so exciting! Good luck with school & work - you'll do a great job! :)
wow heather...this is complete opposite of last year!!! but in a good way I think. first off-congrats on getting a job! In person was prob the way to go but Im the same way-have to work up the nerve. I bet you will be glad to be doing some schooling also. On the dental hygiene part..I dont recommend doing it. There is a very low demand for that right now in utah-it would be hard to get a job! anyway, chat with ya later :)
Wow, you WILL be busy! Congrats on getting the job. I know I don't know you, but I do blog-stalk you, so I can say stuff like this.
Glad to hear things are working out! Good luck with school and work.
SO happy that you finally got a job! You will be one busy girl so take it one day at a time.
