Utah! People working together.

Anyone else remember singing that Utah song in elementary school?
Or Chris' version: Utah, you betcha!

I spent 3 weeks in Utah in June and boy do I love it there!
The timing of this trip could not have been better.
The main reason I went back for 3 weeks was to help my sister out after she had her baby.
She was due in the middle of June, also the middle of my trip, so we were hoping she would have her baby early.
Three days before I flew home, she went into labor and had her baby!
She also has the cutest 3 year old so I was glad to be there to help them out!
Here are a bunch of pictures from my trip in random order:
Saying hi through my parents see-through (2 sided) fireplace.

 Grandpa and baby Katelyn.

 Nap time.

Thank you Utah for being so warm and sunny while I visited.

Savannah singing songs to her baby sister.

I just love this picture from when Savannah was born and Chris and I were dating.

Chris joined me in Utah during my 2nd week there for a national optometry conference that was being held in Salt Lake.
He stayed busy during his short trip getting C.E. credits, spending time with family and getting addicted to Ticket to Ride.
Ok, I know you are thinking "Heather, did you even shower this day?"
BUT the purpose of this picture is to show the AWESOME little onesie I got for Katelyn.
If you can't tell it says "MY AUNT IS THE BEST!"
This little girl already knows where it's at.
Here's a better picture of it:

 Me and Savannah.

Me and the sleeping babe.

Savannah and Crik had a blast together.

 The bubble master.

Before Chris arrived Savannah and I made this video for him:

Matchy matchy!
Also, please note the incredibly creepy Hugga Bunch doll "Impkins" on the left of my mom.
We pulled it out of storage for memories and it scared the crap out me more than once when I didn't know it was lurking around.

 Love the mountains.

My mom rocks!
She rode in a 75 mile bike race in Logan while I was there.
Yes, you read the right, 75 FREAKING MILES!

This picture is pretty indicative of life with Katelyn.
(She is quite the fussy baby).
This is what the dogs would do whenever I walked into a room they were in--
stare at the floor waiting for the "red bug" (aka red laser pen) to appear to chase around.
Very funny to watch them go crazy chasing it all over!

Other fun things that happened but are not pictured:
-caught a mild form of Bieber Fever while visiting my old roommate Candice in Logan.
-Got addicted to Ticket to Ride
-Ate lots of Cafe Rio!
-Got to see most of our friends.
-Ate at all my favorite Utah restaurants.
-Learned the dirty details of giving birth.
-Got freaked out about having kids someday.
-Was told by everyone it is worth it....still not convinced!

I loved hanging out/helping my sister everyday and getting bossed around by Savannah.
I had such a good time in Utah and had a very hard time leaving.
But I had the excitement of moving and the Holmans coming to visit to look forward to!
(More to come on that!)

Haha - YES, I totally remember that song! My memory of it is vague, but I'm pretty sure we had to wear Indian-styled jewelry (aka, turquoise beads) and shake these rattle things we made... haha. Oh, the joys of elementary school! Such a good time ;)

Looks like such a fun trip home!! Don't you just love being an aunt? So fun! What a cute baby!!
