So after I flew back up to Oregon, we moved the very next day to a new (to us) apartment. Then 2 days after that Chris' best friend since basically forever, Eric, and his wife, Justine, came to visit!
It forced us to unpack really fast, which was awesome!

They arrived Saturday night and the fun began!
On Sunday after church we showed them around town (and let them witness the smallness of our old apartment) and then headed to Portland to check out the Rose Test Gardens.
We also walked around the arboretum before heading back for dinner, disc golfing and cake.
We decided to celebrate Chris' birthday that day since we knew we would be gone all day on his actual birthday (the 4th).

On the 4th we went hiking at Saddle Mountain.

After hiking we headed to Seaside to watch fireworks over the ocean, until we got there and saw what a madhouse it was.
Instead we went to Cannon Beach, which is usually packed, and practically had it all to ourselves!

We were pooped by the end of the day and the Holmans left the next morning.
It was so much fun to have them visit!
They were up for anything and everything and I loved how new and exciting everything was to them.
It made me realize that I take for granted living in a place surrounded by such beauty!
Eric and Justine are our favorites for visiting us!
Most of our siblings haven't even come up yet...
(cough) guilt trip! (cough).
We love visitors and had a blast!
We think you guys should come back again!

Ah that's fun! I have funny memories of those guys from jr high. Don't let TJ see that photo of Eric and Chris laying in the meadow together... he might get jealous!
I love how GREEN it is there!! And that you get the best of both worlds - mountains & beach! Love how much fun you guys had! :)
