What we have been up to...

Life has been great since little Londyn joined our family!
Our world revolves around her so I apologize in advance that I may never blog about anything but her again.
Here is one item not related to Londyn:
I am done with school forever!
I loved that my last assignment EVER dealing with scientific papers was a study done by someone with the last name of "Butt."
It made my last assignment that much sweeter.
Or smellier.

Aaaand back to Londyn:

Londyn was 12 days old on Father's Day.
Chris says she was the best gift I could give him.
I'm glad he appreciates all the pain I went through felt after giving birth to her.
Chris being a doting dad during her 1st week of life.
He is the sweetest dad and totally adores Londyn!
Londyn already loves him too--he is the only person she smiles at besides me.

Chris surprised me and brought me these gorgeous flowers on the 5 year anniversary of when we met.
I was very impressed he remembered!
Especially because I hadn't....I blame it on being a frazzled new mom with a 10 day old baby :)

We met on June 15, 2007 at the student ward Luau.
Our friends started talking and we ended up going with a few other people to get Mcdonalds snack wraps and eat them in a "secret park."
I was only 18 (almost 19) and knew there was no way that Chris, a smart, confident, athletic, hot, RM, High-School-Musical-singing babe would be interested in me.
So I didn't say hardly a word the whole night :)
As we were leaving the park, Chris teased me about not talking much...his way of flirting.
I was embarrassed that he had noticed but a few weeks later we started dating.....
and the rest is history.
It wasn't a whirlwind romance.
It took about a year before we fell in love and realized we were made for each other.
(Really, we were. MFEO.)
If you would have told us on that night that 5 years later we would be married, have lived in Oregon for 3 years and have a new baby...who would have believed such a thing?

We went to Zupas to celebrate 5 years since meeting, me graduating and Chris' first Father's Day.
Londyn came along and looked like an old man ;)

The positions that this girl sleeps in crack us up.

She has started sleeping for 5 1/2-7 1/2 hours straight a few nights a week!
I feel like a new person when that happens.
(The first few times it happened I woke up in a panic wondering what was wrong with her).

Leaving the hospital                     |                             3 weeks old
Londyn was so scrawny when we left the hospital and is chunking up nicely.
I love that she is getting bigger and more interactive but I am sad at the same time!
Part of me just wants her to stay little forever.

Looking cute in her swimsuit and pretending to be big enough to run through the sprinklers with cousins.

Londyn rolled from her stomach to her back 3 times in a row at 6 weeks (and 1 day).
We were shocked and so was she.

She smiles!
Londyn gets a little camera shy, so this little smile is the best one we've captured.
She started smiling at 5 weeks, but would only smile at 6 am after waking up.
Now she is smiling more throughout the day, but only for me and Chris.
She gives us big, open mouth smiles with dimples and we just die with happiness.

I admit it.
I am a mean mom.
She just looked too cute in that tiny doll stroller.
(She wasn't crying until we decided to take a picture).
Does she look like anyone you know?
Chris
Me
Yep. Chris hogged all the genes.

June was a big month for me.
I gave birth.
(something that previously terrified me).
I graduated with my bachelors degree.
(something I never really planned on getting).
I became successful at breastfeeding.
(something that was painful at first and made me want to quit).

Next up:
Moving to Beverly Hills in 3 weeks.
We still don't have a place to live.
I should be stressed about that but I am not.
We are not looking forward to the hassle of moving but we are STOKED to live there for 3 months!

I'm so glad I can say that I know where the 'secret park' is, and that I was there the night you two met! Didn't we get a hot n ready and go to the secret park another time, or was that just a dream? Ha! Londyn is so cute! We MUST meet up when you guys move down here!

Wait, wait, wait. I never would have expected anyone to describe Chris as a High-School-Musical-singing babe. Sounds like Chris has some interests he doesn't want anyone else to know about.
