Life Lately...

It's hard to find things that are blog worthy while we are living in Utah.
Chris works, I watch Londyn and spend most days hanging out with my mom and/or sister.
It's not very exciting but we love it.
Here are a few more (boring) details of life:

1-We finally bought a crib for Londyn and it's beautiful.
She was getting a little snug in her pack'n'play, which has been a life saver these past 6 months.
2- Londyn is teething (for reals this time) so I am up about 10 times a night putting her mute button binky back in her screaming mouth. If you see me and I look exhausted, it's because I am.
3- At Londyn's 6 month check up we discovered that she is in the 100th percentile for height.
Whatever that means. Poor girl.
4- Chris is loving this rotation at Hoopes. It has been a very nice change from Beverly Hills.
He is home by 5:30 (or earlier) everyday and he really likes the doctor(s) he works with.
5-Chris recently took part 2 of boards and takes part 3 in just a few weeks. After that it is smooth sailing til graduation (assuming he passes those boards ;) )
6- We (mostly Chris, I am on board for whatever he thinks is best) are trying to decide if Chris should do a residency after he graduates. This is optional, lasts one year and pays crap. BUT at least it's a paycheck to us instead of writing one for tuition.
6.5- When thinking about residencies, we also have to decide what kind and where to apply for them. They are all over the country and they all specialize in different things, so we could be moving again. There is one in Salt Lake that has a lot of pros...you know it's #1 on my list.
6.75- We (again mostly Chris) are trying to decide if Chris should be looking for a job instead of doing a residency. We have finally decided that we definitely want to settle down in Salt Lake. It's just a matter of finding a {good} job. A residency could potentially help with that, or not.
7- In 2 months we will be moving to Pocatello for the last rotation. Blah. I'm not looking forward to it, although it should be better than Beverly Hills in a lot of ways. I am pretty sick of moving every 3 months and can't wait to settle down after graduation.
8- Chris bought his cap and gown for graduation. I can't believe it is only 5 months away!!! I truly never ever  ever ever thought the day would come. Let's just hope the Mayans were wrong about the world ending tonight...
9- A not good one - We found out that Chris' very best friend* since birth has testicular cancer that has spread throughout his whole body. This has been a big emotional rollercoaster and I don't think I've ever prayed so much for anything in my whole life. I fully believe that he will be cured of the cancer and live a long life....because he has to! Even though I am Chris' wife, Eric is Chris' other-man-half. Plus, Eric and Justine are our hiking buddies and Chris is dying to hike Mt. Olympus.
*The very best of all Chris' best friends ;)
10-We got together as friends with all our pictures of Eric and took them to him in the hospital.
Sammy, Davis, TJ, Matt & Chris.
Just missing Eric!
there were some gems in all these photos ;)
putting together the collage
all crammed in the car to visit Eric
All of us visitors.
Chris, it looks like your arm is around Brooke...
With Eric and Justine
We were glad we were able to visit him because the next day he was sent in the ICU for a week...
It was scary but on a happy note, Chris went to visit Eric today as he was getting discharged from the hospital, yay!
(See, rollercoaster).

So that is our life right now.
Lots of things always on our minds and big decisions to make.
It is pretty scary because each decision will have a huge impact on our lives for better or for worse.
If anyone has a crystal ball that could tell us how our lives will turn out with each choice, hook a sista up!
And until then, I leave you with this picture of Londyn's ridiculously cute mohawk and how I found her sleeping in her carseat.

p.s. If you could spare a prayer (or 2) for Eric and Justine, please do.
And read the awesome blog that amazing Justine has kept through this whole thing HERE.

I feel ya on the sleep deprivation thing... Eli has been waking up in the middle of the night every night lately and I don't know why or what to do about it! I thought that part was supposed to be over by 1 year! It is so crazy and so sad about Eric, but I too hope (and believe) he'll be cured and live a long life! I have been praying for them every day! Those are fun pics of you guys visiting him!
