8 months and other things

Hey there, it's been awhile.
Now that the horrible month of January is over, I am finding a little bit of motivation to blog again.
Maybe it's because Londyn is 8 MONTHS OLD!
I didn't know time could move this fast, but life with Londyn just keeps getting better.
Here's a monster catch up on the last 2 months of her life.
1. She takes her food VERY seriously. Don't ever fake her out or pretend to put food in her mouth, she will freak out when nothing is there. And don't ever expect to eat while holding her and not share with her.
She LOVES adult food.
bed head - the mohawk wave
2. She turns the pages while reading books and after closing the last page pats the book several times.
Sending good luck vibes to Chris in North Carolina as he took the 3rd and final part of boards.
3. She is so close to crawling but lunges instead. She gets up on her hands and knees and then lunges her body forward without moving her hands. She can get anywhere with her lunges so I am starting to wonder if she will ever learn to crawl properly.
4. She loves to play with my hair, especially while nursing. She'll rub in on her face, eat it, bury her face in it (sometimes leaving snot behind, gross), yank it, etc.
Christmas morning with her new toy, aka her office.
5. She LOVES ice cream (just like her mama). She will lunge with more purpose than I've ever seen and freak out if you walk away from her with the ice cream.
One of many Christmas parties. Londyn is the best part of this picture.
6. She loooooves my parent's dog Sadie. She smiles, laughs and says "da!" (dog) whenever she sees her. When Sadie sniffs her face she gets a big grin and squinty eyes from her tickley whiskers, it is too cute.
Good morning!
7. She babbles all. day. long. And it's adorable.

8. Her biggest grin of the day is usually around 5:30, when she sees daddy come in the door.
9. She wears 9-12 month size clothes (and a few 18 months).
Caleb, Quinn and Londyn all having fun standing around the car structure. Cutest cousins!

10. She is a major mama's girl.
11. She is in the stranger danger phase right now.
Oh that hair...
12. She reaches her arms out to be picked up or passed back to me or Chris. This is one of my most favorite things about her right now.
playtime with dad before bed.
13. She loves to walk around holding your hands.
What I call the "mime" shirt.
14. She finally got her two bottom teeth and they are so cute. I see no signs of other teeth coming in but she still acts like she's teething.
15. She is a DRAMA QUEEN. (Gets it from her dad). If something little upsets her she cries so bad, as if she just fell off the bed. And then stops instantly when you fix it for her.
cousins on Christmas. Caleb is 3 months older than Londyn.

16. She loves when Chris peers around things at her and scrambles into my arms with huge grins and giggles when he comes chasing her.
17. She laughs so hard when Chris gives her raspberries on her thighs and tummy.
Who is this girl without a mohawk?
18. She is starting to wave and examine her hands. She's mastered picking up snacks and putting them in her mouth.
No easier way to get a smile than putting her on your shoulders.
Also no easier way to get drool in your hair.
19. If I am sitting by her while she plays at her "office" she will turn to reach for me and walk with help to me... get to me, say hi and turn right back around to go back to her "office." Over and over, all day long.
19. When she is tired she buries her head in her blankets, my hair or my chest.
Our best family Christmas picture.
20. She is crazy with her tongue and is usually sticking it out. She's always done funny things with it since she was a newborn but it got worse when those teeth came in!
working in her office.
21. She cheeses it up for the camera now. When you tell her to "say cheeeeese!" she squints her eyes, throws her head back and gives a cheesy grin. Hilarious.
All the cousins on the Thomas side.
You'd never guess from their faces (not) that the adults were acting like lunatics to get them to smile.
22. She is usually a GREAT eater. She eats almost everything (avocados made her gag) and her eyes light up when you share "adult" food with her.
And now....and update on us-
We are headed to Pocatello in about a week....
mixed feelings about this!
We are excited to have our own place again, with our own things (it's been 9 months!) and to have 2 bedrooms, which means we don't have to share a room with Londyn anymore!
Not so excited to be isolated, knowing nobody, and with possibly 1 car again.
Christmas Sunday.
We had a great Christmas and loved being home all season long! I got my Christmas shopping done early since I didn't have to worry about packing gifts home or buying them after arriving and there was no stress about seeing everyone and spending equal time with everyone.
Chris and I celebrated 4 years of marriage and I tried on my wedding dress for fun.
It actually fit this year!
I was very skinny when we got married (thanks to the stress of planning a wedding, working and going to school) but went back to my normal weight thanks to our our honeymoon cruise.
I haven't been able to fit into my wedding dress since my wedding.
Thank you breastfeeding for helping me achieve this.
We celebrated by going to Leatherby's, my favorite!

Chris has been crazy busy working, getting residency applications finished, sent in and prepping for interviews. I stay busy by taking care of Londyn and making Chris discuss our future every night for hours on end.
To do a residency or not? That is the ultimate question.
We go back and forth, spending hours discussing each side and changing our minds on what we want.
Stressful!
Every year of our marriage we have always known what is coming next.
Optometry school, 2nd year, 3rd year, and rotations.
There was always security in knowing what was next.
For the first time ever we have no idea where we will be in 6 months and what Chris will be doing exactly.
It's terrifying, nerve-wracking, stressful, and a little bit exciting (just a little bit), but I have put it in the Lord's hands and will go where He wants us to.
Many times what I want does not line up with the Lord's plan for me, but I am really hoping that this time it does.
And if we have to move away....well I'm not scared anymore, not like I was when we moved to Oregon.
I know I can do it, I know we can be happy, and I know I will grow leaps and bounds again.
I've never been pushed out of my comfort zone as much as I was in Oregon and I've never grown so much as I did those 3 years.
But please, just let us stay in Salt Lake.
And on that tangent, back to Londyn....
Man do we love this girl, everything about her.
Chris asks me all the time if we have an unhealthy obsession with her, because it's a little out of control.
Happy 8 months Lulu!

I can't believe you posted a picture of Londyn with a messy face! She is such a doll - even with blackberry face. That smile of hers is so priceless.!
