We are alive!
Here's what we've been up to:
Keeping our child trapped inside.
Just kidding.
This horse fly was probably the size of my entire thumb.
I hate Missouri solely for the reason that the bugs are PLENTIFUL and HUGE.
We tried to go swimming as much as possible this summer.
In July Londyn helped me organize things and was very proud of herself.
Reading books became an obsession.
Matchy matchy!
More pool time in August.
I turned 25 and had a quarter life crisis.
Ok not really, but everyone is having crises these days so I felt like I should too.
But I did have the BEST chocolate lava cake ever.
I started my first painting project...
Londyn = the cutest little gremlin.
On Labor Day we went to a Royals game with our friends Taben and Liz.
Londyn was SO good and watched almost the entire game.
I transitioned Londyn from 2 naps down to 1, which means she zonked in silly positions by the time her 1 nap rolled around.
(She was waking up at 6-6:30 am and not napping in the afternoon very often so I switched her to 1 nap a day at 1pm. It was a very hard transition on both of us but we made it and now she sleeps in until 8am! Worth it).
When the weather isn't too hot we go for a walk in the evenings.
Londyn's first time back in a swing since Pocatello.
She obviously loved it!
Enjoying some brazilian rice and beans.
"Moon! Moon!"
Londyn discovered the moon on one of our later night walks.
She said "moon!" almost the whole walk while pointing to it and always looks for it now when we are outside.
In September Londyn discovered how fun it is to sit in a "big girl chair" all by herself!
This is the face she makes when I ask if she can "blink".
We love facetiming!!!
Some days church completely wears Londyn out.
She was seriously dead asleep like this.
Driving the car.
We went to the KC zoo with some ladies from the ward and had a great time.
The polar bear was putting on an awesome show.
Interestingly - after telling my sister about the polar bear she said the one at Hogle zoo does the exact same thing. Do they train them to do that?
The following pictures demonstrate just how crazy/silly/goofy Londyn is:
She loves mirrors.
Just hanging out.
On our way to get a shake at Sonic.
It tasted like toilet water...but that's a story for another day.
Just out for a walk. What a silly girl!
Londyn destroyed my nicely organized sections of summer clothes to put away and fall/winter clothes to go through...and now loves sitting in the box and moving the clothes around.
In this picture she is actually naked, reading a book in the box.
If you can spot Londyn through the disaster you will see that she has a sweatshirt on her head.
She walked around like this for a good 20 minutes. Should we be concerned?
Nah, we are just highly entertained.
Londyn also loved hanging out inside the laundry basket.
Oh that girl...
It only took me a month...but I finally finished my painting project.
And I still can't decide if it was worth it!
Seriously, this girl?!
I piled all those clothes on her and she just lounged in there reading a book for a long time!
In other news-
--Chris is staying insanely busy with his residency but he is loving it (last I checked).
--We got a major itch to get moving a few weeks ago when we hit the 3 month mark. (Quarter of the way done in one week! Woohoo!) It feels like it is time to be moving back home, since this last year we always headed home after 3 months of being away.
--Londyn is talking like crazy. Instead of listing all her words, here are my faves: "beep beep" (She was in my way one day and I said "beep beep" to try and get her to move. She just kept repeating me and blocking my way). "String cheese" (one of her favorite foods). "Ta-da!" (Chris taught her to say this with her arms out after she builds a tower).
She repeats a lot of what we say and it is pretty darn cute!
--We went through a rough patch of teething when Londyn was getting 8 teeth in at once, including molars! She's up to 11 teeth now.
--After a traumatizing experience at the pediatrician I told Chris that Londyn and I are moving back to Salt Lake after this year and if he wants to live with us he BETTER find a job there! No more Mrs. Nice over here. I'm done moving to new places and finding new (crappy) doctors and new mechanics and new everything! I LOVED our docs in SLC and want to go back to them. And even more than that I want to be around family!
--One more...real life stinks when it comes to time off. A week off every three months, what? Three week long Christmas break what? Being students had its perks.
Over and out.

Yay! Love the update. Londyn is such a cutie! Her hair is really coming in and from the pics it's looking a little red. I love your little table and chairs. I want to find something like that for us.
Loved the post! Londyn is ADORABLE. I can just imagine her standing in your way saying "beep, beep". Too cute.
That bug was UUUUUUGLY. I would go crazy with bugs everywhere. Creepy!
I would hate changing doctors and moving to new places! I've moved two times in my life and they were both very hard on me, so I can't imagine what you've been through. I agree, come back to Utah and just stay put. ;)
Oh My Gosh She is Adorable!
Umm... those bugs... gross... hopefully they don't have potential for giving you nightmares about them chasing you.
yes! I agree... come home! :)
Haha yes... the realization that you'll never have three weeks for Christmas again is a pretty sad awakener.
