I know this is really late, but I have been too lazy over the break to blog until now.So not only has 2009 been just a year in our lives, it was the first year of our marriage, plus two days.
Our one year anniversary was on December 30. Chris planned the whole day out and surprised me with each event as it happened. I am so lucky to have such an awesome husband :)
We went to the Salt Lake Temple and did sealings around lunch time. It was really neat to be back where we were married and have all those memories and feelings brought back. Afterwards we walked around outside the temple and saw several couples just married and having pictures taken. As fun as our wedding day was, I'm glad I never have to stand outside in short sleeves taking pictures for a couple hours in such cold weather again!
Now: warm arms, cold legs
Then: warm legs, cold arms

We went to the Gateway after that and ate at Applebee's for lunch. We had some yummy food but terrible service. Shortly thereafter we went to my parents house to eat the top layer of our wedding cake!
Then
Our snickerdoodle cake was actually quite yummy! We were too full from lunch to eat a whole piece, unlike at our reception where we each scarfed down a piece because we were so famished.
Then
We then spent the night at The Little America, just like on our wedding night. We also went to Mcdonalds for dinner, just like on our wedding night!
Then
This first year of marriage was full of many changes, (moving, optometry school, etc.) but it was awesome!!
It was a great anniversary and an even better first year of marriage.

Now you are no longer newlyweds :( or is it :) since you hate being called that! Congratulations on your first year - may you have many, many more wonderful, happy years together!
You are so cute Heath! So, creative, I like the way you did that.
