home again home again jiggity jig

Well....I'm finally breaking down and blogging.
Whenever we visit Utah, we do the same things and I blog about the same stuff (games, family, friends etc.)
but here a few out-of-the-ordinary things we've been up to.

Our first 2 weeks home we weren't working yet so we were able to see lots of family.
We had a fabulous reunion with this wild girl.
She laid in my lap the entire night when we first saw her.
We got to take her to Scales and Tails at her preschool and Chris got to hold a snake for all the kids to pet
(which he loved)
We picked her up a few days later from preschool and when we walked in Cambria came running into my arms yelling my name. Talk about the best greeting ever!
But this sweet little girl was so shy around us at first!
It didn't take too long for us to show her how fun we are and now she loves us again.
The only good part about not seeing nieces for so long is how fun it is to see how much they have changed.

If you look closely you can see that we visited Red Butt(e) Garden.

It started to rain pathetic Utah rain on us so we went inside for about 3 minutes and then it was done. ha!

Chris is a profesh photog and took some amazing flower pictures

And I happen to be a profesh kid photog and got some great shots of Savannah

I don't think they come any sweeter than this girl!
(she is the only one who ruins my streak of not being baby hungry)

We have had the luxury of staying at a 5 star hotel with a newly remodeled bathroom which I LOVE!

Actually, my dad redid my old bathroom and it looks incredible and feels like a 5 star hotel bathroom.
However, I will really miss being able to rub lotion, mousse, etc. into the carpet with my foot when I drop or spill some instead of having to clean it up!

My best friend and old roommate Candice got married.
It was SO windy that day that I got wind burned on my face!
We went straight to the luncheon from the temple and had 20 minutes to kill so we waited in the wind-less car and listened to music.
Unfortunately, we forgot to get the keys out of the ignition when we got out and locked the doors.
I had the only spare-in my purse, in the trunk of the car!
We tried to stick a hanger down the window to unlock the door, but we didn't have much hope since even the Forest Grove Gang Bangers couldn't break into our car.
Chris' dad came to the rescue with some keys laying around their house that we really hoped would work.
1st key-no luck
2nd key- success!
3rd key-success again!
4th key-another success!
5th key-ANOTHER success!
haha! He had FOUR keys that went to the Mazda.
We got quite a good laugh out of that and were sure glad we didn't have to spend $70 calling a locksmith.

Other than that, we've just been working and enjoying being home.
Sometimes I get carried away living in Oregon and think that I never want to move back to Utah, but every time we come home I am set straight.
Also, we've decided that we will be sticking around for another month, so if you are blog stalking us and we haven't hung out yet, call us ;)
