pour some sugar on me

When Chris and I were dating, I was quite disappointed to learn that he liked classic rock.
I loved to tell him that "just because it's old, doesn't make it classic."
At the time I was very into alternative/punk rock music, which disappointed Chris.
(we were both relieved to find that neither of us liked country).
He was convinced that I was missing out.
And thus began the brainwashing*.

It started with a CD of rock ballads.
I thought it was pretty good, but not totally great.
Then came the def leppard CD that changed everything...
My taste in music has dramatically changed and I love me some classic rock now.
Def Leppard quickly became my favorite and I FINALLY got to see them in concert!
This was Chris' 3rd time seeing them...but he still loved it.
Heart opened for them and rocked!
-Fun fact-
Nancy Wilson went to Pacific University (where Chris goes) before joining her sister Ann in Heart.
this picture is so weird because I took it looking through binoculars.

Def leppard:
Doesn't get much better than rockin out to def leppard all night long.

It is slightly humorous to me that these "old" guys are still rockin like they're 20-something...however, I'm sure glad they still are!
I love them enough to look past the fact that they're not American ;)
Another reason def is awesome? Their drummer only has one arm.

This is how far away we were...yep we pretty much watched the big screens the whole time.
The seated area was covered, which kept all the smoke hovering above the crowd....gross!
It was one rockin night and we can't wait to see them again!

*Chris says he's brainwashed me whenever he can get me to like something he likes...which happens way too frequently!

Nice brainwashing Chris! I like classic rock AND alternative/punk. One of the reasons my husband and I fell in love was because we both loved the Beatles so much... well I guess we didn't really fall in love because of that, but Beatles: Rock Band came out while we were dating and we spent many a date night playing that! You guys are missing out on country though! I used to hate it, and there are still some kinds that I hate (if it's too twangy) but if you open your heart you'll find that country has some really good music too.
